In some few cases a job may have a transient problem reading a file from the storage system, which can cause CRAB error codes 8018, 8020, 8021. These jobs should normally be successful upon a resubmission. If there are repeated errors reading a specific file or files then please contact us so that we can investigate the issue.

Another possible error condition is a 60317 error when staging out job results to a remote site. The most common cause of this is a standard timeout in the stageout software, in which case this may be solved by processing fewer events per job to reduce output size. There may also be transient network connectivity between remote sites, either internally or externally.
